Meet James....

What I look at is not what others see. Often, it is not what I see at first.

Between the looking and the seeing; from adjusting camera settings and arranging filters,
to the pressing of the shutter; each step moves towards revealing the image that best
marries an idea with a photograph that means something to the viewer.

In high school, I enjoyed the opportunity to learn the basics of a 35mm Single Lens
Reflex (SLR) camera, and more importantly, how to develop prints in a darkroom.
Moving on to study Media Arts at Sheridan College I learned how to stretch the
possibilities of the recorded image. All of this experience is blends into the exciting, but
challenging, world of digital photography.

I was fortunate enough to be born and raised in Muskoka, and travel to such photo havens
as Hawaii, Cape Breton and Chicago, although many of my most popular photographs
were taken in the east end of Toronto, including the Scarborough Bluffs, the waterfront
and the Don Valley Trail.

Currently living in Toronto, Canada.
